Adi and Muthu

Adi and Muthu

Adi, a boy who lives in the city’s core, was less fussy about urban life. His interest and eyes were on the beautiful creatures of our world. For 15 years, he owned the perfect example of parenting pets. Each night, he spends time nurturing the golden Guppy fishes with wheat balls. Upon his arrival, the house was haunted by the noise of birds. One day Adi was being mournful about the unexpected disappearance of his beloved friend Muthu. Adi never thought he will get separated from the parrot who purely adored him by saying “Adi” other than his parents. As Adi rethought his voice, his cheeks were wet with a draughted heart. Adi sobbed on the shaded roof of trees near the pond, where his ducks made him feel even worse. Adi realized that his grandma says, 'The wings love for freedom. ‘ But no one has an answer to Adi’s question: ‘Does there any need to abandon love for freedom? Adi called Muthu curiously each day after school. He wondered whether his green long-tailed friend would forget his name and become a mirage of joy in his life, but Adi never gave up his attempt to regain his friendship. One day in a pleasant evening, Adi called ‘Muthu’ in his faded voice after his restless cricket match. A shrilling sound called ‘Adi’ took his attention. Adi observed his attractive green companion on the branch of a dwarf tree close to his shabby house. He rushed to hug Muthu, and Muthu fluttered with his feathers in freedom of love to share his happiness of three days of travel. Adi caressed Muthu’s red thick ring on his neck, while Muthu kept pecking Adi’s ears and cheerfully calling him Adi more times by whirling around his head.
